Positions in experimental high energy physics
The Physics and Mathematics Department at the University of Colima is seeking candidates for two positions in experimental high energy physics. Both openings are at the level of “Profesor Titular A” (equivalent to the US assistant professor level) and are scheduled to begin in August 2015.
The two successful candidates will participate in the creation of a new experimental group in the “Intensity Frontier” area. The new group will be expected to apply and join one of the collaborations at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) and J-PARC. An agreement between the University of Colima and KEK has been signed to that effect. The experiments that are being performed or planned include T2K, COMET μ-e conversion, Muon g-2/EDM in MLF, Belle II, and future long baseline neutrino experiment with J-PARC and Hyper-Kamiokande.
